Wallet for my dad

I just updated a wallet that I designed awhile ago for my dad.

I modified it to put his name, plus his rank when he was in the Army. He retired as a CW4. I put the four bars on there for his rank, and engraved all the pieces and had it cut out on my X-tool S1 40W laser.

I wet the pieces and then put them in the laser. I used vegtanned leather. It helps when you dampen the leather beforehand to prevent a lot of scorching.

I'm letting the pieces dry and will assemble this morning. It's almost 2 am and I'm still awake after watching YouTube. Hopefully won't wake up too late.

Update: Ok, so it was already finished, here's some photos of the clean and easy wallet. It is a simple one, but my dad doesn't really go anywhere shopping much, so it's more than enough for him. I blacked out his birthday on the wallet by editing the photo. In real life there's no smudge on it.
